Your stories stay yours.

What we collect

To create your custom song, we need: (1) the story you write about the recipient, (2) your email for delivery and account access, and (3) your Stripe payment information (processed by Stripe, never stored on our servers).

What we share

Your story prompt is sent to our language and music-generation partners (third-party AI model service providers acting as our data processors) to produce your song. We don't sell or share your data for advertising. Email [email protected] for the list of these AI providers and links to their privacy policies. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Gift pages

Each gift page lives at a private URL (/gift/...) with an unguessable ID. The URL is only shared when you explicitly send it. We also add noindex / X-Robots-Tag headers so gift pages don't appear in search results. You can delete a gift page permanently at any time from My Orders, which removes the recording from our storage within 24 hours.

Data retention

Songs you've paid for and unlocked stay in your account forever unless you delete them. Completed, unpaid previews from accounts without previous purchases are scheduled for automatic deletion after 14 days from creation. Cleanup removes the preview and its history entry; it may finish later than the 14-day mark. Save or unlock a preview you want to keep before then.

To protect existing paid rights, previews associated with an account's previous purchases, or with uncertain paid entitlements, can be retained longer. This does not unlock an unpaid preview or grant a full-song download. If you cancel your account, all your songs and stories are deleted within 30 days (except where we're legally required to keep payment records).

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics (cookie-free, no personal data) to understand which pages work. No Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics tracking for advertising.

Your rights

Email [email protected] to: download your data, delete your account, request a copy of what we have, or report a concern about a gift page.

Children

Song For You is for adults (18+). If you're making a song for a child as a gift, that's fine — just don't write PII beyond their first name and age.
